DroneQ Robotics is a globally operating Advanced Unmanned Robotics Systems Operator based in the Netherlands. The service is in accordance with the ISO standards for Unmanned Operations, Security & Privacy and is built from a process architecture.

Supported by Mission Operations Centres, our experienced teams of Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV), Subsea Robots ARIEL, Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV) and drone specialists carry out extensive survey, inspection and testing projects on a global scale. MARINE SERVICES

DroneQ Robotics Marine Advanced Unmanned Robotics Services provide ultrahigh-resolution underwater inspections, surveys and 3D imaging, Non-Destructive Testing and Light Work Class ROV tasks. Our procedures for subsea inspection operations, including emergency protocols, are detailed in the latest version of the IMCA based DroneQ Robotics Subsea Inspection Operations Manual.

POSITION TITLE: 2025001 SUBSEA MANAGER

The Subsea Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and high quality of the subsea operations on both a technical and organizational level in the preparation, execution and completion phases. The Subsea Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all operations with unmanned marine robots carried out by DroneQ Robotics, including personnel, safety, equipment and reporting. This position is essential within the Inshore naval operations, offshore oil and gas industry, wind energy projects, cable installation and inspection and maintenance work on and under water.

The Subsea Manager reports and advises all relevant topics within his responsibility directly to the management.

The Subsea Manager is prepared to travel internationally and for short stays abroad with regard to the performance of his core tasks, and occasionally operational deployment in subsea operations. The Subsea Manager is based at the Mission Operations Centre Rotterdam.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TASKS

  • Reporting and advising the management.
  • Leading and coaching the Subsea inspection team (Subsea supervisors, pilots, technicians).
  • Supporting Sales & Marketing activities of DroneQ Robotics and partners.
  • Planning and coordinating Subsea operations according to project and customer requirements.
  • Supervising and carrying out maintenance, inspections and repairs of subsea equipment and associated systems.
  • Supervising and controlling mobilization and demobilization of equipment and personnel (on site).
  • Performing Risk Assessments and Subsea System Audits in accordance with IMCA R006 procedures relating to 1) acceptance of supply by the manufacturer, 2) before mobilisation or load-out from onshore installations and 3) after mobilisation, but before offshore operations or testing onshore.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and offshore regulations (e.g. IMCA, OVID).
  • Maintaining contact with project leaders, project departments of the customer, suppliers and other departments within DroneQ Robotics and partners.
  • Manage the Subsea Inspection Operations Manual, reports, logbooks and technical documentation and forms.
  • Assessing and improving the performance of personnel, processes and procedures, including through training and education.
  • Managing spare parts and logistics around Subsea equipment.
  • Occasionally operational deployment in subsea operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of demonstrable experience as an ROV Supervisor or similar position.
  • In-depth knowledge of Subsea Inspection systems (electrical engineering, hydraulics, software).
  • IMCA-accredited ROV-certificates (ROV Pilot Technician Grade II/III).
  • Offshore-certificates: (T-)BOSIET, HUET, EBS, Escape Chute + Norwegian Suit, GWO, medical certificates.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, drafting JSAs and Toolbox Meetings.
  • Good command of English verbally and in writing.

POSITION TITLE: ROV PILOT (JR/MR/SR)

The ROV Pilot is responsible for executing subsea operations in a safe and professional way, ensuring the high quality of the subsea operations. The ROV Pilot is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing unmanned marine robot equipment, including cameras, manipulators, sensors and other payload, thus safeguarding operational continuity. This position is essential within the Inshore marine operations, offshore oil and gas industry, Offshore Wind projects, cable installation and inspection and maintenance work on and under water.

The ROV Pilot has a strong sense for maintaining safety protocols to ensure the integrity of the ROV, crew and environment, identifying and mitigating potential risks during operations and ensure compliance with operational safety regulations and environmental regulations.

The ROV Pilot reports and advises all relevant topics within his responsibility directly to the ROV Manager.

The ROV Pilot is prepared to travel internationally and stay abroad for periods of time with regard to the performance of his core tasks, and operational deployment in inshore subsea operations. The ROV Pilot is based at the Mission Operations Centre Rotterdam.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TASKS

  • Operating subsea inspection equipment, including but not limited to Observation Class ROV’s, Light Work Class ROV’s, subsea robots and USV’s.
  • Carrying out subsea operations according to project and customer requirements, including but not limited to inspection, Non-Destructive Testing, Surveying, light construction and intervention tasks.
  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs of subsea equipment and associated systems.
  • Diagnosing technical issues and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve outages.
  • Carry out mobilization and demobilization tasks, including system installation and set up and testing.
  • Preparation of detailed operational reports, including problem identification, solutions and recommendations.
  • Documenting all work done and data collected.
  • Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams, including engineers, scientists, and technical specialists. Coordinating operations with other maritime and technical teams to maximize efficiency.
  • Adhere to compliance with safety procedures and offshore regulations (e.g. IMCA, OVID).
  • Participate in training and the testing of new equipment or software updates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Junior ROV Pilot 1-3 years of demonstrable experience as an ROV Pilot/Technician.
  • Medior ROV Pilot 3-5 years of demonstrable experience as an ROV Pilot/Technician.
  • Senior ROV Pilot >5 years of demonstrable experience as an ROV Pilot/Technician.
  • Senior ROV Pilot + CWISP 3.4U is a preference, not a requirement.
  • In-depth knowledge of Subsea Inspection systems (electrical engineering, hydraulics, software, NDT equipment, cameras and sonar).
  • IMCA-accredited ROV-certificates (ROV Pilot Technician Grade I/II).
  • Offshore-certificates: (T-)BOSIET, HUET, EBS, Escape Chute + Norwegian Suit, GWO, medical certificates.
  • Good command of English verbally and in writing, e.g., inspection reports, daily reports.
